  4. I love, love, love, LOVE this application! I've used it for its intended purpose of finding my phone many times. But I've also found another use for it - my husband is stationed in Afghanistan, and he uses it to let me know that he is online by sending me a text. :D

Thank you so much for making such a cool app! :D

  6. Hi! I purchased Fetch It Gold and tested out all the functions. I tried the Locate It function by texting the passphrase from another cell phone but I never received a location text. Am I doing somnething wrong? I changed the passphrase and I entered it exactly the same as what I chose.

  7. I downloaded it to my Incredible and activated GPS satellite setting in my phone, but everytime I text my phone Locate It from the web (or use the test Locate It function from my phone) the Fetch It app says:

    Sorry!
The applicaton Fetch It (Gold) (process com.fetchit.fetchitgold) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Then I have to force close. Is this a bug?

  8. Not working on HTC EVO, Android 2.2
It does not turn the riringer on if the Vibrate mode is on. It will only vibrate when the message is received.

  10. Hi everyone, I have an update coming out next week that will hopefully fix the force close on the Gold app and I'll try to turn off the vibrate before I turn on the ringer to patch the Evo problem.

    Thanks!
    William

  14. OK.. I've read all the posts and cannot seem to find the answer to the question posted by Ms Renee.... I have the HTC EVO. If I've lost my phone somewhere in the house, etc., how am I supposed to send a text to it to locate it? That's similar to trying to find a flashlight by turning on the light switch when there's a power outage! I've used several text messaging websites to send the "fetch it" command to my phone and the message is received as a message... nothing more. William Bell, does this app work for the HTC EVO or not?

  15. I downloaded the free version of Fetch-It, and I don't understand how to work it! Do I text something to my phone from someone else's phone or from a computer? I feel really dumb!

  16. I used sprint's email to text message (i.e. send an email to 2065555555@pm.sprint.com and that message is texted to the phone) with my "locate it" and "locate it last" phrases, and it seems to have initiated an endless loop of 50-some "text sent using invalid number of digits" messages, as it attempted to text back to the email address that shows up as the sender. I'm not even actually sure what the "locate it last" function is about, or if this is an error, but I thought you should know!

  17. I also downloaded the fetch-it (lite) app and can't get it to work.
Could someone please explain it step by step??

  18. gang....change the phrase in the preferences.
    I use findme.

Then from a computer you can send a txt to yourself. On verizon its your number @vtext.com
in the body of the text type in the phrase and it will work.

What is the difference between the gold and donate versions?

  25. I LOVE this app. I am always misplacing my phone. I have a question though. How can I get a song from my Playlist to work as my fetch it ringtone? My music shows up in the ringtone options, I select a song then click ok. But when I test it out all I get is the flashing screen but no sound. Please help.
